Day 1 – From Here, Not There
Verse: “But Daniel resolved not to defile himself…” — Daniel 1:8
Thoughts:
Daniel didn’t choose Babylon. He didn’t ask for captivity, a new name, or a new culture. But right there in the middle of an unwanted season Daniel made a decision. He couldn’t control where he was, but he could control how he would live. God didn’t wait for Daniel to get back to Jerusalem to begin His work. He started right where Daniel stood. God often begins His greatest work in the places we least expected to be.
Question:
Where do you need to stop wishing things were different and invite God to work right now?

I need to stop wishing things were different when it comes to my finances. I tend to wish I had a different job, that pays more. However today I will invite God into my life in this situation. I give my finances and my worries to Him.
nI accept the way things are and im trying to change the things that I can. Thank you God for the Wisdom to know the difference and we can grow and keep working till the finish
Today’s takeaway - “You can’t change WHERE you are… but you can WHO you are!”
I need to stop looking at what everyone else has and comparing it to what I don’t have. I am thankful for all that I do have.
I need to stop wishing things for things to be different in my relationship. To surrender the relationship of toxicity and hurt and abuse to God. I will invite God into my life and ask for his healing, his guidance, his strength and courage to forgive and let go of this relationship. To pray to God to send me a God knowing and loving man in HIS time. I surrender my worries of being loved because I know that I AM LOVED BY GOD.
